Thank you. I hope to encourage you to find paths that will enrich your life as well. We're not just talking about the accumulation of valuable possessions or riches. To enrich (Middle English from Old French-enrichen) also, more significantly means, to supply with an an abundance of what is desirable, to add greater value or to make finer in quality.
Attempt to make your life one that is finer in quality by doing three things:
1. Push yourself beyond.
---Don't be so sure that you know the limits of your own abilities. Enlarge your talents. Don't be afraid to explore the outward boundaries of possible new adventures. Don't be afraid. Your life is more enriched when you unlock your confidence. Go forward with determination. Become passionate.
2. Seek wisdom.
---Enrich your life with meaning. Wisdom has the power to enrich our lives because it can change hearts. Don't get stuck in the mire of superficiality--care to know more! Read. Read. Read! Be open to different perspectives. Laugh. Play. Become inspired.
3. Help others.
---Be a torch and help light the way for others to find their own greatness. You have a legacy to leave. Your life can be enriched by your service, by your sacrifice, and by your unselfish giving. For some, your impact will be greater than you think; a mutual richness will be created. Become compassionate.
The one thing, from my students, I will always take with me is how they've enriched my life with sincere and profound meaning because I've allowed myself to be inspired by them.
My life has been made better, the quality of it is not just finer, but my life has been elevated and enriched beyond measure...and for this I am grateful.
To the class of 2018...safe and rewarding travels!
